As a starving student you can almost always depend on student discounts somewhere and almost everywhere near campus. There should be some real cheesy discount at a lot of places frequented by students and even places that are not. Especially if your campus is very large and makes an impact on the community it is in. Discount at cinemas, restaurants, entertainment venues should be abundant. If you don’t seem to be locating them check with your campus student union. Some even have discount coupon books available for incoming students.

Dorm Assistant
There are also usually large discounts for student and even free living expenses if they become an assistant at a dorm. You will have to do a little work or watch the dorm for a shift but the reduction may be worth it.
